How can we use Laura Mercier’s beloved Translucent Setting Powder without looking cakey or gummy?
This multi-award-winning powder is a cult favorite that sets makeup for 16 hours without adding texture or weight. Pour a small amount into the lid to set makeup flawlessly. Then, with your Velour Puff – not a Powder Brush – dip the folded Puff into the top to pick up some powder. Dip the folded Puff in the top of the jar to get some powder. Fold the puff and gently massage the powder in the breath to ensure it is evenly saturated. Tap the Puff onto the palm of your hand to remove any excess powder. Fold the Puff in the same way it was folded originally. The powder should disappear after you “press and roll.” Pro tip: Touch the skin to see if there is enough powder. You need to add more powder if it feels sticky.
Which are your favorite tips and tricks to achieve flawless skin?
For flawless skin at all times, I recommend being attentive to your skin’s needs and adapting your skincare routine accordingly. Your skin’s needs will vary depending on the season or time of year. Less is more when it comes to complexion products! Laura recommends using foundation to only even out the skin tone. She also suggests applying it only where needed. The right tools and brushes can make a massive difference in the look and feel of your skin. Pro tip: This may seem obvious, but always use clean brushes and tools!

This is a must-have for any makeup look! Laura is an artist and knows how important it is to prepare the skin before applying makeup. She does this by designing a canvas. What is the best method to apply foundation? Would you instead use a brush, sponge, or your fingers?

How to apply makeup using your fingertips:
Pick up a small quantity of product using your fingertips from the back of your hand. Start from the outer edge of your face, and work inwards. Press and blend the foundation into small sections.

What is the best way to hide dark circles? How can we make our concealer without it creasing?
