So we’re at the end of another week in what looks like only the beginning of an extended period of having our lives turned upside down.
Sticking with the expert medical advice, our stores are STILL OPEN!
Much is being said out there at the moment in regards to the new rules and regulations that we not only have to work within but also now live our lives by. One thing is for certain is that everyone has an opinion, we’re either not doing enough to stop the spread of COVID-19 or the Government has way overstepped their boundaries.
For us here at The Emporium Barber, as mentioned above, we’re following the medical advice provided to us by the experts in this field. My personal opinion is that Professor Brendan Murphy, the Chief Medical Officer, and the Australia Health Protection Principal Committee that are advising our Government at the moment, clearly know a hell of a lot more about anything and everything COVID-19 related than “Bob” my next door neighbour.
The advice that we are operating within is extremely clear. We continue to remain extremely diligent with our hygiene practices in store. We are strictly following the maximum capacities (1 person per 4sqm) allowed in store. Our espresso bars are only serving takeaway food and beverages and social distancing is in practice for those when ordering and waiting for the orders to be made. Again we ask that you not visit our stores if you have recently traveled or are feeling unwell.
Until such a time comes that the advice we are being provided with changes and further restrictions are put into place our stores will remain OPEN.
All that being said however business is awfully tough at the moment. Our aim has always been to provide a safe and healthy environment for our staff, clients and community whilst at the same time keeping as many of our staff employed with as many hours as possible so that they can provide for themselves and their families.
We have had to reduce the opening hours we currently operate under. Some stores will open later and closer earlier on certain days. All stores will be closed on Sundays until further notice. And for the first time all of our stores will be closed for the entire Easter long Weekend, from Friday April 10 through to Monday April 13.
Follow us on Social Media for more updates. Follow the links below to book your next appointment, with reduced staff and opening hours appointments will fill quickly.
Our online store is still receiving and sending out orders. Keep an eye out for some great specials we’re running. If you’d prefer to pick your order up rather than us sending it via post/courier then please leave a note with your order and we will contact you to confirm pickup arrangements.
I’ll finish off by again asking you to support your favorite local businesses. Grab a takeaway meal from your local restaurant, coffee from your local coffee shop, meat from your local butcher, etc etc, you get the point. If you want to be able to enjoy our products and services on the other side of this we’re all going to need your support through this. Check in with your mates as well, there’s a lot of people doing it tough out there at the moment and sometimes all they need is know that someone out there cares.
Again, from the whole Emporium Barber family, we thank you for your continued support during this time.
Cheers & stay safe.
