The HJM nom shaving brush uses pure badger hairs which are known for being a little stiff. This helps to create a massaging effect when preparing to shave. It holds a good amount of water and is great for creating a lather with firm soaps. There is little maintenance required to make this brush last.
I had put up with my ancient shaving brush for years but a side advert on Facebook was about to change that. Ages ago, my wife had bought me a new "quality" brush. It lasted about a week and started to loose bristles at an alarming rate so I resorted to using my old tired brush again. Seeing the Emporium Barber advert, I scanned their catalogue and settled on this brush, which appeared to be of good quality and reasonably priced. I received it promptly in the mail and used it for the first time last Wednesday. WoW! What a difference. The shaving soap actually went where I wanted it and you could feel the bristles working my skin ready for a shave. Av great result and I'm very happy with my purchase.
